When simple work is required on a finished landscape, a backhoe is often too large and does a lot of damage to the existing turf.

Our equipment is able to trench in areas that larger equipment either can’t reach or will cause too much damage because of tracks or weight. Our equipment is articulated and uses extra large floating wheels.

We are able to trench clean lines up to 36” in depth and only 4”-6” in width. This allows for a much easier cleanup, less turf damage, and less soil disruption.

What does it look like

Trenches dug with a trencher
This is an example of a curved trench. Many people are under the misconception that trenches can only be dug in a straight line.

In the event you have to get under a hard surface, such as asphalt, concrete or paving stones, we have a horizontal drill that we can use to bore across the obstacle.

WHAT CAN WE INSTALL?

Our services are contracted by homeowners, general contractors, electricians and other utility contractors. We do light trenching and excavation for contractors working with:

  • Utilities
  • Electrical wires
  • Electrical conduits
  • Network cables
  • Fiber Optic cables
  • Pool backwash
  • Pools & spas service
  • Propane
  • Natural gas
  • Irrigation
  • Drainage
  • Sump pump lines

Trenching is an extremely useful form of excavation when it is necessary to ensure no damage occurs to the pipe, cable or wire that needs to be installed in the ground. It also allows for visual confirmation of installation depth or the installation of material that is not permitted to be pulled (see: Pipe Installation).
